Battlefield 2042: Details on Update 2 and Roadmap for upcoming months

The Launch of Battlefield 2042 was known to be bumpy. But the DICE developers work with high pressure to eliminate the problems and construction sites of the multiplayer shooter. Since today, 25th November, 09:00 o'clock you can download and install the second big update on Origin. The download size varies between 1 and 4.14 GB depending on the platform.

The most important improvements from Update 2

In the following, we first introduce you to the most important improvements that go live with Update 2:

DICE weakens the heavily criticized scatter of many weapons. Above all, assault rifles should benefit from short salves. Also, the shot accuracy while running or when you get it was improved. The resuscitation bug should have been removed. For the NCAA Hovercraft and the MD540 Night bird, there were noticeable slowdowns. The problems with the drone UAV-1 were fixed, you can use them again on the Bad Company 2 cards.

The scattering of the balls was reduced in all weapons except shotgun. This should lead to better accuracy during the game. Reduced explosion radius from 2 to 1.6 Reduced explosion damage from 20 to 14 Reduction of floor damage before the start of the damage case off from 18 to 15 Reduced Damage Fall off from 200 to 180 Reduction of floor damage at maximum case-off distance from 8 to 6 Increased bullet range and scattering AH-64GX Apache War chief and KA-520 Super Hokum — 30 mm Cannon — We reduce the radius in which the bullets do harm the impact, and reduce their splash damage. Reduction of the explosion damage from 20 to 18 The damage drop in opponents, which are further away from the shooting center of the story, has been increased. We have reduced the total damage to the Minimum for all land vehicles, and the damage waste of the projectiles will now begin earlier. Reduction of floor damage before starting the damage case off from 18 to 13 Reduction of the removal of the damage drop from 60 to 40 Reduction of floor damage at maximum case-off distance to 6 The armor type of NCAA Hovercraft was adjusted to increase its vulnerability against different weapon types. Battlefield Portal — UAV-1 UAV-1 has been reactivated in Battlefield Portal. Highly reduced delay and speed of health regeneration Increased missile damage to vehicles and infantry The drone can now kill opponents on the street. Breakthrough matches are now being completed correctly after the last sector has been conquered. There was a problem that led to players who were in the queue for a match in Battlefield Portal were sent back to the menu, rather than joining the match when a place was free. Roadmap for upcoming updates

This year, two more updates for Battlefield 2042 (Buy Now €54.99) planned.

Update 3 should appear at the beginning of December Update 4 should go live before Christmas Information about the start of season 1 should then be in early 2022

The upcoming updates should focus mainly on the following areas:

Performance and server stability should be further improved — with the previous updates already made noticeable progress. Gun play and Balance : Update 2 is already a step in the right direction. Update 3 will follow further improvements. Solo / Loop and Portal (experience and progression) : The goal is that players can earn many experience points comparable in all modes. For this purpose, adjustments have already been made to prevent pure XP farm servers in the portal mode.

FXM-33 AA Missile

The FXM-33 AA Missile reload sound effect will now appropriately fit the animation of reloading Extended the animation of the FXM-33 AA Missile reload
